MY BALI TRIP PART THREE: JULY 2019

Coming to the end of my trip, I had realised I had done everything I came to do, with time left to spare. So, I decided to be really spontaneous, order a taxi from my hotel and ask my taxi driver what he thought I should visit. We went to a couple of places I never knew existed! It was a really fun day and a fantastic end to my trip. I did all of this on my sixth day with my seventh day being my last day, which I used to chill by the pool and pack. So here is what I did on my last full day of my trip to Bali.

Sixth day – The Holy Springs, Elephant Cave, Tegenungan Waterfall:

This day started with a visit to the Holy Springs. Guests had the option to perform a sacred ritual and then bathe themselves in the springs. Next to the springs were some temples, but visitors were not allowed to step inside them as they for praying purposes only. Next, my taxi driver took me to the Elephant Cave. It was very small, with offerings and shrines inside. Next to this cave was what looked and felt like a small tropical jungle! It was stunning and I truly felt like I was on a tropical island here. To end the day, we went to the waterfall, one of many in Bali but this was the closest one to Seminyak where my hotel was located. I didn’t go swimming in the waterfall as I had no one to look after my belongings, but I still managed to snap some great shots of it.

Holy Springs Entrance fee = 50,000Rp (£2.92)
Elephant Cave Entrance fee = 50,000Rp (£2.92)
Tegenungan Waterfall Entrance fee = 20,000Rp (£1.17)

Seventh day – Packing day (last day)!

I concluded my trip with some souvenir shopping and chilling in my hotel before beginning the long journey home. My trip to Bali was amazing! I am not normally one to go adventuring by myself in the fear that something will go wrong, and I will have no one to help me! For someone who used to have anxiety about simply eating out in a restaurant, I am amazed that I managed to spend a whole week travelling around Bali with no anxiety or panic attacks. It gives me hope that in the future I can do it again and again!

Thank you, Bali, for giving me the time of my life!

Only one day to go until my next adventure!
