THAILAND - KOH PHANGAN: AUGUST 2019

Moving on from Koh Tao, we took a ferry trip to Koh Phangan. After a very short journey, we arrived at our bungalow on the beach and we were greeted with paradise! The weather was completely the opposite of what we had experienced on the previous island, with a cloudless and clear sky, a flat calm on the sea and the whitest sand I have ever seen! This is the bliss we had been expecting and we welcomed it with open arms! We were all still pretty exhausted from the last couple of days and still very sunburnt, so we spent the day chilling and taking it easy.

The reason as to why we wanted to come to Koh Phangan was just so we could spend a few days relaxing on the beach. The rest of our trip had been quite jam-packed with lots of activities, that we purposefully didn’t book anything on this island. As such, we did the same thing pretty much every day; relaxing in the shade on the beach, having evening swims, treating ourselves to a few drinks here and there and eating some delicious food, all from the comfort of our doorstep! The complex of bungalows we stayed at was called Seaview Sunrise on Haad Rin Beach, and I could not recommend it enough – perfect location, excellent customer service all for the reasonable price of £43 each for the 4 days we were there!

We had organised this part of the trip so that it was around the time of the Full Moon Party. It was honestly the best night out I have ever had. All of us had a great time and we partied until sunrise! The day after the party, we had to make our journey back to Bangkok before our return flight back to London. The plan was to take a ferry from Koh Phangan to Surat Thani where we would catch a flight to the capital. Unfortunately, our ferry was delayed which meant we missed our flight so had an unexpected night spent in Surat Thani! We eventually arrived at our intended destination and spent our last night in Thailand exactly where we had started it – on the crazy street of Khao San Road.

Ignoring the mishaps, Thailand was spectacular. Going gave me the opportunity to see elephants, swim with sea turtles and have the time of my life!

I hope you have all enjoyed reading about our little adventure!
