GAINING WEIGHT!

In all honesty, this post is coming in a little late and last minute so apologies for this! It is quite a spontaneous post, I normally plan what I am going to write in advance. But yesterday I weighed myself for the first time in a few weeks and was shocked to find that I have gained weight!

This is a very big step for me. Those who know me well or have read my pervious posts about this (if you have not, you can click here to read some more about what I am going to say), will be aware that I have really struggled with gaining weight over the last few years. When my anxiety was at its worst, eating was challenging, it often forced me to skip meals and this completely messed up my weight. My weight massively decreased and also led me to have body confident issues.

It has always been very hard for me to gain weight. I do not know why, and I actually have never been to the GP about it as I have been nervous about what they might say.

So, since being in China, I have been eating a lot! I haven’t really bothered to check my weight, but yesterday I found some scales outside a shop, hopped on them and was pleasantly surprised and happy to see a much higher number than I am used to seeing! Obviously, this really shouldn’t have come as a shock to me, but even when I have eaten a lot of food at home and checked my weight after, it has never increased much.

I am incredibly happy to see that I am FINALLY gaining weight! I am feeling a lot more confident with my body and with wearing different clothes that I would not normally wear.

Sorry that this was quite a short post, next week’s post should be longer and a bit more exciting too! Thank you all for reading and to those of you who has sent me lovely messages about me gaining weight too!

  1. Nice post. I can relate to your post as I have trouble gaining weight too. I could literally eat a tub of icecream and sweets and I wouldn't gain any weight! The only way I put up weight is by eating protein. Anyway, nice post and love your blog btw x

  2. Hi, thank you for taking the time to reply to my blog post! I have always eaten so much junk food and it never shows, but since moving to China I have been eating a lot more carbs and protein and it is certainly starting to show now! x

  4. That's great. I totally identify with that. I also eat more, a lot more, while travelling because I'm happy and feel free. Let's keep in touch. Wishing you the best.https://www.daisyandthyme.com/thyme-to-travel-finding-vegan-indonesia/
